By The Red River Valley is a 3D narrative adventure prototype for a murder-mystery set in a sleepy motel in North Dakota.

While waiting for a potential new client, private investigator Leigh Williams finds himself chasing a killer who is among the motel guests. Explore the area, interact with the eight potential suspects, and try to solve the case.

About This Build

This game is optimized to work with gamepad input.

The current build defines a vertical slice of the first act, with key characters, some dialogues and interactions still missing. There are still plenty of bugs in this version.

The whole current game, including soundtrack, was made in three months as a 6th semester project at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. I would like to thank Laura and Paul for contributing a few assets, helping me out sometimes and providing me with a snow shader solution.
